OK, here are the ground rules. I haven't gone over the BOM for the Beast build. I know I've got a lot of it but I may have to trade someone for a few parts. I was going to give an entire week for a vote but I've got to get packing pretty soon so why don't we give this till Wednesday at 8 PM Pacific time.

1. Our own, "Rabbit Hole". For some reason I just haven't gotten around to building in 1590A or I've been avoiding it subconsciously. Ok, i've Gone over the BOM and all I'm missing are the pots. If it wins  then I will need to beg, borrow, steal ,buy or trade for these.

2. Once again, our own "Uber tuber". Just don't know much about it although, it seems it involves a number of things I've never done. I've gone over the BOM for this one and i'm Missing: 100 pf Silver Mica, 220uf Electro and then I would also need all of the pots.

Build the L5.... IN A 1590A!

Past that, roll of the dice. Of 1590A projects, I probably wouldn't go with a big muff as my first, just because I value what little sanity I have left.
(My first 1590A success was a Super Hard On. PCB fit on the pot back. It was STILL a minor nightmare boxing it up  ::))

The tube pedal is fascinating from an engineering standpoint, lots of fun voltages and cookware worthy temperatures.

C'mon somnif.

L5, its amazing. I am sure the other ones are cool too but the L5 has something special I haven't heard in other stompbox sized effects. It is a beast to build but worth it.

I vote L5. 

To me, bigger boards have more soldering (my favorite part) and the wiring (my least favorite part) on this one seems nicely laid out.  However, not sure how you feel about the enclosure work, the L5 looks involved. 

I've looked a few times at this thread.  I could vote every time I look, if you want me to.   ;)

EBK, I'm tempted. I just thought, hey free vote and I can torture a rookie! Voting would be a no brainer for me.

I admit there's a part of me that wants to do a big build to prove that I can and that I'm not just a flash in the pan. At the same time there is appropriate trepidation, as it would not take much to mess that build up.

I've already decided that I'm going to go slow and take my time. I think this build is about sustained focus and paying attention over a long period of time, which I am not good at anymore.

The Uber I'm not really sure about, but I'm going to find out.

The rabbit hole on the other hand I think it's going to be about planning and skill.

So unless something really unusual happens it looks like the L5 is probably going to end up winning. Since I'm up against a gun with the move I want to head and worked my way through the BOM and found out that I need a number of things. I'm going to go over to wherever we do the parts exchanges and post what I have for trade and what I need and certainly I am not pass donations he's he so unless something really unusual happens it looks like the OR 5 is probably going to end up winning.
