How Do I? Beginner's Paradise. / Reading Potentiometer Values (Bourns Plastic Shaft)

I have a few Bourns plastic shaft pots that do not conveniently have their values printed on them in the same format as some other pots that I have. I am trying to decipher the following codes: A1 05; B1 04; and B2 53. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

How Do I? Beginner's Paradise. / Carbon Comp v. Carbon Film in Mangler

I have all but one of the values (100k) of carbon comp resistors I need to finish my Mangler project and am wondering if I can use a carbon film in that slot without changing too much or rendering the project useless. I can eventually swap out for a carbon comp when I have the need to place an order for other items, but as it stands I just can't justify paying shipping for a single part.

Any thoughts appreciated, thank you!

Working on my first build, a "MOAR", and wondering if someone could clue me in to what the "L" between the ground and LED spots stands for?

Any help is appreciated.
