Hey Scott: You ever find a fix for this??

I gave it a rest for awhile but want to get to the bottom of it. I'm having the same issue you are: By the time unity is reached, the volume is dimed and I have to introduce more gain.

Would a 200k or 250k pot have any negative implications in the circuit, or could it be the answer?

Yeah, thanks Jon. checked everything out and reflowed a couple joints to be sure. The cutting out issue got resolved along the way.

Still have this volume issue though. I couldn't for the life of me determine what was causing it so I started over on a new board with all new components. Same exact deal with the low volume. I typically run my Bearfoot version with the volume at noon and the gain at about 9:00. That's right at unity. To get similar results with the Yellow Shark, the volume is dimed.

It'd be nice to have the extra volume and versatility.

hmmmm. :-\

Hey dudes and lady dudes:

I have (what I hope) is an easy one for you guys. I need a new footswitch for my Princeton Reverb. Original one has a mind of its own sometimes. So after completing a couple Madbean pedals, I thought "Oh, I'll just make myself a nice one with a detachable cable and LEDs and it'll be a breeze..."

Problem is, I can't find a good diagram that fits my needs anywhere. Googled for over an hour and so I thought I'd turn to the experts.

I have:
• 2 3PDT switches left over and thought I could just use those instead of ordering more stuff (even though it's probably excessive for this.)
• 2 LEDs
• 1 stereo jack
• 2 resistors (4.7k, again, leftovers)
• battery snap

Possible with what I have on hand??

If anybody can sketch this diagram up quick, it would be much appreciated. And, if it helps in your decision to help out at all...It's my birthday. ::)

Sorry this isn't Madbean product specific, but I assume this will be a great little project for beginner's like myself and would be good to document. Thanks for reading.

Sorry to drag up this old thread. Didn't want to start a new topic if I didn't have to.

I built my Yellow Shark with the single sided board from Haberdasher. Got it together and I'm having the same issue with the volume. It barely reaches unity all the way up. Took it apart and checked all my values with the project file. All was correct. Checked some connections and made sure nothing was shorting against anything else and tried again. Same deal.

I have it right next to an actual Bearfoot version and it's so much quieter. If it helps with the diagnosis, the gain pot cuts out when it gets to about 4 or 5 o' clock, though this could be a separate issue entirely.

Has anyone found any errors in the directions or parts list? It'd be nice to get a solution posted here.

Hey dudes and lady dudes.

I've been learning a lot over the past couple weeks and impressed myself by putting together a La Vache, a Zombii (thanks to Haberdasher's extinct pcb hook-up) and a 2 channel looper pedal. Still have a lot to learn (having trouble keeping things tidy under the hood) but I'm pleased with my progress and am thankful to Madbean and all you kind folks for making it easy.

For my first post, I thought I'd share something cool with you all. Stumbled upon this guy making these (IMO) wicked builds on Etsy. Maybe this is old news, but I searched the forum and didn't find anything. Not sure what his deal is and I realize it's just a cosmetic thing (specifically talking about the skeleton ones), but MAN are these cool!

So I submit for the enlightenment of the forum, some inspiration...

Here's a link to his sold items:
