General Questions / Re: RangeMaster input cap
September 23, 2010, 06:29:34 AM
Thanks Brian,
This might be a lame question but how is it on some of the fuzz face schematics there are 2.2uf input caps? I am referring to the fulltone '69.(I think, I know I have seen it somewhere) :P

Build Reports / Re: chunk chunk / dr. boogie

Hi Guys,
It is like Jacob said but I think you are supposed to only ground one end of the shield. Grounding both ends can cause ground loops which can cause noise.

Are you grounding the shielded cable?

General Questions / RangeMaster input cap
September 22, 2010, 01:52:50 PM
What value of cap would give a full boost to the range master? I would like three choices, treble, mid and full.
Would .05u or .1 be enough or something bigger?

Open Discussion / Sparta's Gear Stolen in Texas
September 02, 2010, 10:36:29 AM
Creepy Fingers posted this on another forum and asked to spread the word. This is really lame:

Yo

My friend Dave from Eagles Of Death Metal forwarded me this. His friends in the band Sparta got their trailer stolen with all their gear...

Hello friends, friends of friends, friends of friends of friends....

Our trailer was stolen early Saturday, August 27th, from a parking lot next to the Marriott in downtown San Antonio, TX. We lost a substantial amount of gear, some of which is pretty unique, so we area keeping our fingers crossed it'll show up somewhere, someday... can you please pass this email along to anyone you know who tours or buys gear, especially if they live around central Texas. The pawnshops should get the list from the police report, but every little bit helps-
if you see this stuff out there please email or call our studio

Just out of curiosity, what were you searching for on Ebay when you found them? Specifically for pieces or was it a fishing expedition?
Check this thing out for some ideas for a control unit

Hey all,
I ordered some bits from Drill Bit City. Decent price I thought though the shipping was steep.  I got 2 sets of 10 bits for about $17 and shipping to Spain was another $17. When they got here the postage label was $6.50. OK, I can understand some cash for the box and maybe some admin costs but almost triple the actual cost is stealing in my mind. I wrote to them to ask and still no reply. The bastards.....

Are those pieces from a ZVex pedal or is it new stuff you gathered together?
