Hi

I installing a tap tempo kit on a sea urchin
I bought the kit from UK electronics..nice price when compared with the tap chip

My doubt rest in the time pot and the analogue and digital ground of the PT (pin 3 and 4 I think...)

The original design grounds the time pot to the grounds of the PT

The kit don't... It grounds the pot just to the pcb

It works ok but I'm earing more noise than the usual (time with low settings)

Should I connect the pot to the A/D of the PT?

Thanks

I'm not an expert, but it's probably that particular PT2399. Jumping pins 3 and 4 will help you if the chip is locking up, but if it's particularly noisy then you might be better off just trying a different chip until you find a quieter one.

The PT is the same that was running on the original pedal... And it was noisy, as normal, on some settings...

I think it's the functions of the tap kit
If you press the momentary switch and mess with the time pot you will get 4 and 8 delays settings... And maybe... Maybe... On some points it pushes the PT....

I will try to connect the pot ground pin and see the differences...
