Let's not talk about that one...

No.  I never figured it out.  I removed and replaced a lot of componants trying to narrow it down but I eventually moved on.  I may tear back into it some day but it was really disheartening.  It sounded PERFECT untill I would hit that range between 2 and 5 o'clock and then it would go haywire.  I've built five working, non-malfunctioning circuits since then though so I'm not looking back.
