Is it safe to replace the lm741 opamps with lm741 op amps?

haha he probably meant ua741 or njm741, both of which should work afaik.

fwiw, i read once that OP07 was made to replace/upgrade the 741, and tayda has them cheap.  I'm going to try them in my sharkfin pcb if i ever locate a 2mb pot.

Definitely go with the lm741 op amp. Whatever you do, don't use the lm741 opamp!

Yeah, even a small group buy cooperative would be cool in this case, because that's about the only thing I'd need from smallbear atm.  that pot would cost me about $7.25 if I just order one.  that's over half of what I paid for the pcb, lol.

What do you figure it would cost a guy to ship a 2mb in a small envelope?

No. Wire to lug 1A, jumper lug, 2A to lug 1B, wire to lug 2B. 3rd lugs are unused. It puts the two halves in series. Fully ccw 0ohms, fully cw 2M.
