Bin working on this. The portion of vero you can see is the only part I actually did in vero, in the end. The rest I laid out in Eagle (Rullywowr, you're not allowed to say anything nasty about my boards ;) ) with boardmounted 9mm pots.

Hangingmonkey should recognise some of this.

As it is, I need to make orders with Tayda, Smallbear and Mouser. Which may not happen fast, due to the time of year. I'm not expecting to make any progress on this until new year, but I wanted to show (off) what I'm up to :D

What is it? The world's most insane phaser. Digi2T is a purveyor of solder gas inflaming video on YT.

OOOoooOOO. I like where this is going. Optical phasers are the balls.

This isn't his Infinitphase, is it? That is nuts...

lo-og, lo-og, it's better than bad, it's good!

This looks like it should be very fun.

They look pretty nice...for an Eagle layout!  ;D

Seriously, nice job...the layouts look great and looking forward to seeing/hearing the result.  You always come up with some crazy awesome projects like the lovetone stuff etc.  It's inspiring.  :)

Cocked up. I put 9mm pots instead of 14mm for the lit sequencer pots.

So now it's wait for OSH, again.

Yep, i do indeed.  I only came across the post while browsing today. I havent done much more since i posted my work in progress on diysb.  Ended up waiting for parts and then getting side tracked on other projects as i usually do. Need to get back on focus with this one once the present batch are completed...

Good look with that one alan, cant wait to see how it turns out

My OSH boards finally turned up. I decided to do the main audio board, instead of the vero. Less work.

Slight muck-up with two of the lit pots. Not worried enough to fix 'em.

Just need to order the 9mm pots for the LFO and audio boards, now :)

Right on! I think an analog synth will feel like a piece of cake after this. :)

What do you plan to use for the enclosure?

alanp

Got a Hammond 1456KL3 (I think), angled front aluminium/steel case :)

That looks like a pretty hoss case. Should do the trick. Very cool man

Spent some time sniffing solder -- I found two 9mm 100kB pots, got the rest on order from Tayda right now. The main audio board just needs wires run to it. What I think of as the 'phase engine' board just needs wires, plus LDR adjustment (either closer or further away from the LEDs, to even 'em out.) I've left off a resistor/cap combo, as I plan on running wires to them for the 4/8 stage switch (didn't design it in when I laid out the board.)

The rest of the pots are on order from Tayda, once they turn up it's just a matter of wire wrangling. Lots of wire wrangling.
