I was looking at possible circuits to include in my upcoming 5-in-1 build, and I did not wanna include a delay, but I've opened my box of builds that I am not so satisfied with and ended up putting these two together. I love it :)
The cave dweller I've always liked a lot, and I actually played some gigs with it as my secondary delay, but neglected and unboxed it since. The phase 45 is the tonepad version, actually I originally had this in a 1590A (anybody remember Solderman, that peculiar 1590a dude, haha) but never actually thought it had what it takes, it was okay but I've heard much better sounding phase 45 builds. For example I never could get it to be as good as this guy's build - http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=17039.0 [this is just the first one I've noticed looking that the sub-forum]
So I was like, let me try adding the phase on the wet signal and see how that goes. I think it sounds really really cool. I particularly like the 01:20 sound. What do you guys think?

Now I just need to add tails to it and it will be ready for boxing.

Nice idea. Cool sounds.

So you've put the phaser before the feedback and mix? That is, the feedbacked signal gets phased more and more. Have you also considered putting the phaser after the feedback so that only the delayed signal gets feedbacked? (Hope this makes sense.)

Um, what I've done is disconnected the wiper from the Echo pot, ran that into the phaser, then out from the phaser and into the wiper of Echo again. I believe this is what happened, not really sure.
Why do you ask, is there a better way to do this that you feel I should try out? I am open to all suggestions of course.

Just asked out of curiosity.

Hm, if you take the input to the phaser at lug 2 of the echo pot and then go into C8 then that's what I proposed to consider because listening to the demo I had the impression that you took the signal for the phaser from C15 and then into lug 3 of the dwell pot. My impression is that the feedback goes through the phaser again and again and degenerating a bit each time. But maybe that's just the typical sound of the Cave Dweller repeats.

Might be. i love the degenerating sounds, the dirtier the better in my book, dunno.
I gotta jump on some of the aquaboy builds out there, I don't have an analog one right now, and I need it.
