Wolf Like Me (Wolfshirt)

This is the 2nd build I did over the rainy day weekend.  It's a standard Wolfshirt board with the octave control on a footswitch like the Ultimate Octave.  Not much to say about this other than it's my favorite octave fuzz I've built so far.  It's got a nasty, nasally fuzz with a responsive octave.  For me, it's much easier to play than the Octavia.

The name and design take their name from TV on the Radio's 'Wolf Like Me.'  The background words are the lyrics to the song, and I tried to use a campy horror movie font font the controls.  This is one of the more intricate etching I've tried, and I'm quite happy with the way it turned out.  The lyrics aren't supposed to be totally ledigble; they're just there as a background pattern.  I think the overall effect is really nice.

I love the etch on this one!
I dig how the lyrics in the background look a bit rough. Kind of like old faded news print. Killer work, I'd say you need a few more rainy days!

That's really cool, very original art idea.

Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

That's a great build. Love the fuzz out of this one. What transistors did you use in it?

Great -- now I have Corrosion of Conformity's "Shake Like Me" track stuck in my head.

Very nice build, though! What was the reason for laying down some of the film caps?

Once again, clean build, excellent enclosure design.  I am waiting for the workshop on enclosure design and etching!
Cuz they's made for Giggin!

I used the  2n3565's that I got from Smallbear and the voltages were very near what MB had in the build doc.

I knew that it would be tight near the power jack because the pots are so close to the top of the enclosure; I laid them down for safe measure.

That's a really cool aesthetic. Your etches always look great!

Wow. Sweet etch! I recognize that font. Used to seeing it under ET. :)

I love the song/band you referenced and the circuit, so this one is a win!
