Adding a battery to a PCB with Stereo Jack in Eagle

Hey guys,

I'm having some trouble wrapping my head around this and could totally be overthinking it.  I want to create PCB with connections to an optional battery and I'd like the battery snap to be connected to the PCB.  The way I think I do this is I have an extra 9V pad that I wire the additional power jack lug to, then using the battery from the Madbean Eagle library, connect the battery to that.  Then add an extra grounding pad which I connect the stereo jack to.  Is this correct?

Here is a picture of my schematic in Eagle.  Appreciate the help.

I'm thinking he PM'd you, I don't see his reply.
Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

Yeah, totally weird, I saw the response, replied to it and then... woosh the response was gone.

Or I had a premonition and saw the post in my mind's eye and replied to it before there was even a response.

I deleted my reply because right after I typed it I saw a problem in the library. The DC KobiconnPGR library part was labeled incorrectly. This is what you want - The TRS gets wired to the jack and the battery hookups directly to the battery. I'm going to re-upload the library in the library thread with the correction. Can you tell I pretty much never used this? Whoops!

Man... I was kinda excited I was gaining some powers.

Thanks!  I'm no fan of batteries myself, but gotta give the people what they want.

My drawings above assume you have another ground point on the PCB, BTW. So, the ground connection between the sleeve on the jack and battery connect to a common ground on the PCB.

Got it.  Thanks a bunch for the help and the Eagle Library.  Getting your first PCB in the mail from OSH Park was a pretty proud moment.
