Hello everyone,
I recently built the RustBucket 2019 but unfortunately when i switch it on while te mix is at 0 i listen to the guitar tone when it is at 100% no sound comes out (at 50%, 50% of the sound comes out etc)

Everything seems to be in its right place, no solder bridges...nothing
When i connect the pcb to the power supply the regulator (7805) heats up, and the MN3007 chip heats up as well. The IC13 NKA0515 does not heat up.

i measuref all the ICs and transistors to give you the voltages, hoping that you can help me fix it:

I start with the NKA0515 cause i think it is the problem... and then the rest.
But then again i don't know. So... take a look and tell me what you see
My IC13 is MEJ1D0515SC and it differs a little from the NKA0515 according to the murata specifications. can that be an issue as well?

A attach two photos. Some additional info never hurt anyone :)

Possibly one of your ICs is not functioning correctly. I would pull all the ICs out of there sockets to start. Then recheck the output of the Murata to see if you get +/-15v. Then put in each IC one at a time and re-check to see if you still have +/- 15v.

I had this exact problem on my very first build of the Rustbucket and it was due to two bad ICs. One of them was a 3080 and I forget what the other one was.

Scruffie

BBD Vgg voltage is wrong as is the 4047 clock voltage so start there
Works at Lectric-FX

Perfect.
Thank you both!!
I'll try your suggestions the afternoon and come back with the results.
Madbean, do you suggest a specific order i should start placing the ICs if the Murata is ok?

I did the whole procedure and long story short, i think the MN3007 was messing up with all the other voltages. With all the other ICs connected the voltages are pretty close to those of the rustbucket pdf. Hopefully it is that, when i get an new MN3007 i'll try it out and tell you what happened.

I've the same problem. The two dual output of murata are 0V!!!
