Tremulus Lune lfo as a Phaser lfo?

The LFO of the Tremulus Lune has a wonderful amount of control over the wave shapes. Can it be used as is for the LFO of an optical phaser, such as the Mutron Phaser 2?

There are a couple designs that did this. CultureJam made one, so did Grind Customs.

Most of the wave shaping you get from the Lune isn't terribly useful, though. Like square wave is useless for a phaser, how are you going to get moving notches if you're just flipping between two copies of the signal ... ?

I was more interested in all the options besides square wave. Ramp up, ramp down, triangle, sine, pulse width. Could be some fun sounds in there.
Do you know what the Culturejam or GC ones are called or links?

Edit:
I think the GCFX one must be the NotAPhasorII. The demo was unimpressive.

You need to think a bit about the depth pot, and how to exactly drive the LED. The setup in the Lune is nice for a tremolo but probably not so much for a phaser.

The Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe is a Uni-Vibe style phaser with options like that, but implemented with a digital LFO that can be "bent" in the analog. There are diy version, one is called "Pangea."
