Cavedweller 2015 Vero Build
« on: August 31, 2022, 09:13:57 AM »
I have recently built a veroboard Cave Dweller 2015 off a layout derived from the MBP design.  It works well with Rate/Delay and Depth/Feedback controls, but the Mix control goes from full dry to what sounds like maybe half wet.  Definitely not full wet.  All pots B50K. Mix changed to B500K, no difference.  Ideas?

I'm not too familiar with the pt2399 so I cent tell exactly what's going on without pulling the datasheet and am a little busy atm.
Are you certain you have the mix pot utilized as a variable voltage divider and not a variable resistor?
Check pin 1 for continuity to ground. That's my guess.
Attached schem for others.

You're right. This thing doesn't go full wet, no dry. I think there may be a mod for it somewhere on the forum.
Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

I was able to fix by increasing the cap value to the mix off pins 9, 10.  Paralleled a 470n with the 100n.  Much better range.
Thanx
