New Kingslayer build

True Byass Kingslayer built mostly to spec with one of my etched faceplates.  It uses the exact drilling template from madbean's build pdf (except for the LED placement).

I installed one of the 3pdt boards from raulduke (SJ effects) for the first time which was very nice to use.  It made everything very tidy!  Man, I could probably get used to that. 8)

I'm undecided on what chip to use in here.  Pictured is a tle2072 which cut down on the slight fizz I get with the tlc274, but the 274 seems to have a little more character.

It sounds great but something isn't right with my build. Everything else works, but the vol and tone knobs are not functioning.  The dual gang clean/dirt pot goes from clean to dirt but it's the only way I have to make it louder or quieter.  Got to do some troubleshooting with this, but wanted to go ahead and take photos before I tear into it. :)

cheers

That might be my favorite etch of yours yet. Nice!

Love it.

I was actually thinking about doing the suicide king theme for that as well.  I don't think I could top that, though: the border is great.

Man, that's a beautiful enclosure. The board itself is really nice, too.

Good luck with the troubleshooting, I'm sure it's something simple. :)

Are you kidding me? That etch is top notch. And the inside? I have to start using those little switch boards.

Thanks man.  It actually turned out better than I imagined it would at first.

Thank you.  The outside border is actually the backside of a playing card but I got rid of the inset image and replaced it with the suicide king.

Thanks Jon.  So far no luck troubleshooting.  I've confirmed those two pots are about the right value and the resistance is changing when the knob is turned.  I'm having trouble thinking what would cause them not to function in the circuit when everything else works.  :P

I was so used to doing it the regular way I had to make myself use it here but I have to say it made everything nice.

Yes, thank you very much for that.  They are growing on me and I'm already thinking about using one again!

Hmm...that's a stumper. Do you have continuity between lug1 of the Vol pot and ground? There's no change at all when you turn the Vol pot?
