Title: OD->Boost and Boost->OD switch
Post by: helos on May 02, 2019, 05:32:18 PM
Hi guys! I'm sure you can help... I'm trying to design a pedal with an overdrive and a boost, each one with their switch.

But I'd like to add a toogle switch to choose the position of the boost (before or after the drive), much like the Fulltone Fulldrive 3...

Do you have a schematic for something like this??

Can someone help me?  :-[

Thanks

You are just talking about switching the order of the effects. Try and Google "Order Switch" or "series order switching"

Awsome!! Thanks! So basically I should use a 4pdt toogle switch right?

You can also get by with a 3PDT

Nope, sorry, that first one was probably confusing.

This should work better

I've used this one before on a few builds!

This is one is mine. It uses a 4PDT because it has a send-return in the middle with switched jacks. This way you can put other effects in between and still switch the order. if you don't want to use this, you're better off with a 3pdt.
