Awesome man! Very creative using the external enclosure. Is that your own PCB design or did you order it somewhere? I'd love one...

VERY impressive my man!  How did you get the white graphics on the pedal anyway??? I've been wanting to use white graphics but haven't found any info on how to do it...

Wow! That's all I can really say. This is inspiring me to build my first amp. Amazing work!!!

Great work here inside and out! I love the decal against the gold enclosure...

I love those black knobs with the gold enclosure! Next time you may try sanding down the 9VDC jack on one side before grinding enclosure. I had same problem once and that worked great for me. Just a suggestion but awesome build and welcome!  ;D

Oh and where did you get those green pots?

After some breadboarding, I found that just putting a 10K across lugs 1 and 2 of the Dwell pot @ 50K (stock value) was adequate. It still oscillates on the very last of the pot's sweep; the infinite repeats happen much later on the dial, and there's a slightly smoother control in the middle.

Wow! This is an amazing mod! I love my Cave Dweller now. The 10K across lugs 1 and 2 really tames the Dweller without losing what makes it special. THANKS!!!

Very cool looking pedal! I normally don't like those knobs but on this build they look really good.

Thanks! I don't really like those knobs either but nothing else looked good bunched so close together. I guess they work in certain circumstances...

That is dead cool.

I want to build a muff someday, but no idea which spec is the one :) it can wait.

I wasn't sure which one to build either. I just picked one and went for it!

Build Reports / Mudbunny (Big Muff Civil War)

Here is a Mud Bunny I just built to Civil War specs. This is my first Muff and I must say I like it! I found an old Russian Civil War propaganda poster and used that for my graphics. This is my second etch and I'm very pleased with it. By chance it came out with an aged look which seems to fit the theme perfect.

and here is the propaganda poster:

But if you want to get some layouts etched, don't even worry about ordering from Haderbasher, Keefe maybe etched me 20 boards or more at this moment and it's always top notch. ;D

I'm actually etching my own boards now. I gave up a while back after trying the magazine paper method but after ordering a Neutrino from Haberdasher I was inspired to try again. I used the press n peel from Small Bear and it was really easy. Thanks for the info though...

Nice builds all around! I love the paint jobs and the wire knots - very creative. Did you etch your own PCB's or did you get them from Haberdasher?

Haha! Is it going to give birth to another in 9 month?

Looks great man! 8)

lol! Yeah this design is an homage to the band Queens of the Stone Age (it's the cover of one of their albums) and to my daughter as I first used this logo for an art project just prior to finding out my wife was pregnant...

Looks great mate, the pitting just adds some character i think. Can i ask what paint did you use, enamel/acrylic? and did you have trouble when sanding it back, as i recently tried my first etch and i struggled with the painting. My etch was not as deep as this which i think may have been my problem, anyhow, well done and all the best, Matt.

I first tried to use acrylic paint but I had to put on a thick coat in order to get it to appear opaque. I didn't want a thick coat because I sill wanted to see the etch so I decided to start over. In the end I did one coat of semi-flat black spray paint and wet sanded it off the surface with a 600 grit. We will see how durable it is but it would be easy to touch up down the line. Hope this helps!

I just build an MXR Micro Amp using an Aaron Nelson stripboard design which utilizes a JRC 4558D instead of a single op amp. It's pretty simple boost. It does what it's supposed to do, but I'm yet to try it in the clubs so the verdict is still out. This is also my first etched enclosure, which went pretty well for a first go around. Any advice on how to avoid pitting would be appreciated (I think it looks very cool for this design but I need to avoid it for my next etch). Check it out and let me know what you think...

Thanks man, anytime!
I buy from this guy most of the time.

Cool! I just bought some from his ebay store. Hopefully I will have better luck with this product (I've used radio shack copper-clad laminate in the past).
