You are down the rabbit hole now... they all look awesome.

Where is a phaser?

Not at the moment, hence why the parity drive is currently being built.

Current drive load-out:
1x 12TB (Parity)
1x 6TB (Data)
2x 3TB (Data)
1x 1.5TB (Data)
5x 1TB (Data)

At some point, I want to start replacing the 1TB drives (this server is more than a decade old.) But I'm in no hurry, it's not like I'm running out of room in a hurry.

I originally built it because the classic storage method of hundreds of CD-Rs (and later, DVD-R) effectively meant that I never actually watched any of the movies, anime, or TV series I collected due to the hassle of finding the necessary storage medium and putting it on the PC. It... escalated from there. Fileservers are surprisingly useful critters once they're built.

That is a project that has been on my "someday" list for a long time.  I am in the same boat with tons of old DVD-R's and CD-R's for backup and I would love to make a media server and use like Kodi or Plex (Or whatever the program of the day is) to view all my media.  Someday....

That is a sharp looking pedal! Its a fun noise maker, I have never really found any usable sounds in mine, other than annoying my wife as well :)

Looks awesome!  Glad you were able to get it to work first time through!

Beautiful!  I love the color on that, and the figuring!  Is it a 10-top?

Nope, it's just a standard top, albeit a pretty nice one.  I've got two core PRS's with standard tops that I like better than many 10 tops I've seen.  It's a bit inconsistent of a system.

In this particular case, I'm glad it's not a ten as it would've increased the price and probably taken it past my interest level.

I would have deemed it a 10  ;)  Great score!

If you want to try something cool, put R3 on a switch to change the bias of the transistor.  You can get have it really cook, or have it be more of a dirty boost.  I did the same thing on my Breaker pedal.

If anyone is crazy enough to make diy boards of that 104 delay, I am crazy enough to buy it and build it asap!

I've got zero interest in trying to clone the 104m but I would like to lift some ideas from it for a new delay design. But seriously, look at it:

Did somebody say 1590A? ;D ;D

Sweet!  The U2 fan in me has always wanted one of those too!  Line it up with a DMM and a Vox!

Looks awesome!  I like the giant LED

I have been a ham-fisted failbot lately on circuit design ideas. Like seriously, 7 or 8 ideas in a row crashed and burned. A few just refuse to work at all, and others sound just "meh" at best.

I've been in that same boat lately.  My last 3 or 4 board orders, I've been hitting at about a 50% rate (some even on their second or third revision).  Sometimes its something stupid like "I totally forgot to add the reference voltage divider" to "why did I think a switch would work that way".  And almost worst than a dumb mistake in design is the dreaded "that just doesn't sound good, and I have no idea how to make it sound better".

I have a lot of conversations with my wife about this as she is trying (and succeeding) at launching a little cookie side business out of our house.  She has a lot of the same feelings of not being good enough and that people will find her out.  I keep reminding her that she is getting leaps and bounds better over where she was, and will only get better.  I feel like we are all in the same boat.  If we look at our first builds and where we are now, we have all learned a few things along the way.

I always found this appropriate when we feel bad about our skills, we are all our own worst critic...
