That is a box of perfection. Unbelievable workmanship inside and out. This should be in BOTY

Lee - i hear you on the frustration, I'm just going to pick graphics that are forgiving where the defects look like they are planned (you start noticing this is t-shirt graphics after doing this).   Just going to scratch this itch until they make an affordable laser etcher that will go through aluminum.    280 dpi is pretty dense, do you have any posts of you work here?   I can't figure out how to search someone's posts for keywords.

Sorry. Been busy with other stuff and haven't been by here much lately. Here's a pic of a couple pedals on my board from the stuff I used to make. As you can see, good detail is definitely possible.

Looking good!!

I used to screen print my pedals but I threw in the towel on it because it was so hard for me to get consistent results. When it was working right I got incredible detail when it wasnít I got incredible frustration.

Good on you for getting it working. My setup used a 280 mesh aluminum frame screen and inktek gloss enamel at full viscosity. I donít remember the off contact spacing etc but if youíre patient you can get stunning results.

First off, that's a really cool looking build!

Thanks for the link. I very well may give this guy a try.

I was going to say that I think I ever so slightly prefer the chrome label version, but, then I started thinking some more:

Doesn't BLMS sell a gold stomp switch?
And, I know I've seen gold jacks somewhere else.  Those might push this over the edge to unbeatable.

Edit: just noticed the relay switching.  No gold soft touch stomps available, as far as I know.  Still, this does look fantastic as is.

You're right though. If you're going to go with gold, go all the way. I'm sure a gold stomp would look sweet on this one.

Thanks guys!

If it's the relay switching, is it safe to assume that it's true wireless and not buffered bypass?

I wanted to keep it buffered to keep it as close to original as possible.

The one I built myself got enough favorable reactions that I decided to do a little run of 5 of these. I'm glad I was able to buy these cases before PPP upped the minimum order.

I thought it would be fun to do a couple in gold instead of the chrome look, so, here it is! This uses the same process I used on the original one. It involves laser printing the graphic to acetate, then using a cheap laminator to bond the metallic film to the toner. It gets stuck down to the enclosure using UV cure resin and then ET is poured over the top. It takes patience to get it all to work right but it looks nice. I haven't been able to get a picture yet that can capture the depth and shine but it's really sweet looking.

Stomptown and Jubal81 did the schematic and layout for this. I think it's a really nice board. It features the 1776 Finish Line relay circuit onboard. Thanks for letting me use this Josh. It makes it so sweet! This pedal feels like a community effort. It's great to be part of the MB ecosystem.

That graphic! So clever and it looks so good. The LED is the icing.

So cool. What a story!

Wow, never thought I would see my pedal show up on a reverse engineering DIY project, cool.
A friend and I designed this circuit and the PCB CAD, yes, in my basement (haha).
Life got too busy to continue hand building these.
Perhaps I should dig out some old un-built PCBs and build some?

Thanks for jumping in! Yeah. You should build those suckers up!
