In the meantime this has been turning in my head all day long, haven't been this taken with a melody for quite some time

Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

I guess here would be the place where I dump my own music too. I did a couple ambient/post-rock/avant garde albums for fun. I am not really sure what to label it. There isn't much in terms of tempo, but there is a melodic center to each track. I essentially played a bunch of different stuff over a chord progression and then tweaked and stretched the tracks until it was almost unrecognizable. It could be interesting to use as background noise. The first album has Dropanchor812 on bass and other noisemakers as well as another friend. The second album is all me. If someone really wants to own this for some reason but doesn't want to pay anything for it, PM me, and I can make something happen!

Been listening to D'Angelo's (relatively) new album Black Messiah.

It was reviewed as something of a 'masterpiece' of RnB, so I thought I'd check it out.

The production and beats on it are amazing, and the songs growing on me. It's nice to listen to something different for a change.

The bass is also lowwww and funky... Pino Palladino is some bass player. Not bad for a lanky white welsh guy  ;D
