For me... this week is all about St. Paul & the Broken Bones. Saw them last summer at Muscian's Corner in Nashville, and their live show is awesome. Their full-length finally dropped this week and it does not disappoint.

Ian, have you listened to Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears? They are a fantastic live show.

Yes. I love Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears as well!

I think i've never posted in this thread.. but i scroll it most of the time and you guys made me discover plenty of really good stuff, thanks for that :)

This might be on the heavy side for some... but if you like Entombed, Dismember and other «KrustDeath» in the like.. you'll probably dig this... Discovered that this weekend, that bass tone and how it Chunks up the guitars is simply delicious!

Loving that Black Breath album ever since it went out. Great stuff, it is rarely that I like a heavy album nowadays because everything sounds so overproduced and just copied and already heard, but that one I liked.

Cool, same thing here... most of the metal i listen too is stuff from 1998 to 2005... everything after is not music, but production. Couple band get out of the lot, but they are rare, sadly. That's why i'm a lot into GrindCore, Krust and all out fuzzy doom/sludge/stoner... it's raw! :)

You made me remember how much I love Broken Bones and Pocket Change by St. Paul! I forgot I had even heard that song!

Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Dave for sharing that one. When two of the greatest Slide players alive (maybe ever) trade licks for 3ish minutes, that's something I want to hear.

The CD this is on arrived as a Christmas gift from my wife... i cringed when i opened it, Eric Clapton Crossroads benefit, how lame is this going to be... thankfully more good then bad but this track is unmatched, nothing comes close, gives me shivers everytime... and there's video to share, cool!

Couldn't have said it better myself! It's the raw that I am after as well. Cheers!

Rick Froberg's (Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes) current band. One of my favorites...they deserve to be better known. Nice Harmony Bobkat!

Omega Massif - Karpatia

Some great instrumental doom. Had me bobbin my head the whole time.

Listening to Tame Impalas Lonerism again.

There's just something about that record I love. The production is outstanding.

After guitar geeks everywhere were trying to figure out how he got all those cool tones, it also turns out he DI'd most of the guitars for the album  ;D
