Open Discussion / Re: runoffgrove mockman PCB?

If I could I wouldn't mind but I've removed the components from the breadboard a few hours after doing it.
I've never had a circuit working on breadboard on the first try.
For this one, on first try => nothing. Check => forget to connect the opamp to +9V...
Breadboarding needs to be 5x check. It is tedious but a simple circuit like this one is a good introduction.
Good luck.

Hello,
I've breadboarded my schematic this morning. It's working. I failed to ear a difference with the switch on or off but definitively not a weak signal, quite the opposite.
One thing, replace the 1N5817 diode with /or put a 100R resistance in series after it, it tame the background noise of the circuit.

Here's my schematic attached.
Main difference is that I put a 1N5817 diode instead of a 100 Ohm resistance.
Added a 100n capacitor for IC power filtering.

On your pictures I didn't see any wiring mistake so maybe just reflow everything and check for bridges ?

Footswitch wiring scheme is the same as the one found here https://www.madbeanpedals.com/projects/_folders/DistBoostOD/pdf/Deadringer2022.pdf (left switch of course.)
For the jacks, pads are left: GND, right: signal, components side.

Hi !
As I don't have access to my kicad files, I've downloaded my own pdf...
1) Why didn't I put my schematic on the pdf ? Why ? :-/
2) On my B.O.M. the output cap, parallel to the volume pot, is C7 and call for 330p to 680p (Cx on runoffgroove's schematic). So no mistake here. 470p is a good start.
3) Can you post photos of your build, maybe it's a simple wiring issue ?

If there's a difference between my doc and runoffgroove's schematic then the mystake is on my side of course.
I'm not at home this week so I don't have access to my files for checking any mistake...

Hi.
I love runoffgroove designs so I've designed quickly a PCB for you.
Check the attached files and tell me if you want me to put the PCB on OSHPARK.

Thanks guys!
QuoteWill it fit in a 1590BB?
Yes it's designed for that, but I need to replace the pots. They are long legs...

Build Reports / Lowrider 2015 on perfboard
June 02, 2023, 12:44:44 PM
Hi everyone!
It's been a while since I posted anything but I'm quite proud of this one.
Lowrider 2015 minus the octave up section, on perfboard.
Working nice, still a bit fizzy but usable. Maybe something wrong with the Pots connection to VB....
I'm still lurking this forum almost everyday and still love this place.
Cheers !

Great build indeed! And a really great PCB design. You've become a KiCAD master !
I've always regret my original CS-9...
Could you please share you're schematic ?
