Where do you guys buy your paper? I ordered some off ebay last and it was a little pricey but best I could find at the time. Any tips?

General Questions / Identifying chips
« on: February 02, 2013, 10:57:27 AM »
I recently gutted an old organ for parts and there are a lot of chips that I am curious if they are worth salvaging or just destined for the scrap heap.

Couple I just pulled off the boards:

8 pin 551-009 7742
14 pin 551-034-00 7815

I did some searching and only come up with where they are used in the organ I got them from with little information. Any tips on IDing these as I pull them would be awesome! If they are useful to anyone I would be willing to part with some too :)

Thanks!

Tech Help - Projects Page / Pig Mine Vero Build
« on: January 21, 2013, 09:36:35 PM »
Just finished wiring up the Skreddy Pig Mine vero build from tagboardeffects.com and am getting no sound. I started checking for signal at various points and am getting nothing at the volume pot at all. Have signal at the tone but am not sure where to go from here to troubleshoot. Anyone built this before and able to help do some troubleshooting?

Thanks for any assistance!

Open Discussion / Stocking the bench
« on: January 17, 2013, 08:32:35 AM »
I have been making boards for a while now but always buy parts as I go. Of course I have amassed a small collection of pieces but not much. How do you guys go about stocking your bench? I have seen lots for sale on eBay but am leery that this would be a bunch of junk not worth storing.

Thanks!
