re: tube amps, it really depends on the technical specifications of the output transformer, the tubes, and how the amp was designed (bias, class, etc) ... if you've got an overengineered amp that isn't running on the ragged edge of exploding in class a-b you can run a reasonable impedance mismatch probably forever and you'd not really notice ... if you're running the tubes hot on an undersized output transformer in class a your mileage may greatly vary

I don't know if a bierock (aka runza) is considered a meat pie but mustard is the cherry on the top  ... practically required

I finally tracked back to the claims about bland American food ... I don't find that to be the case. Chain restaurants and prepackaged processed foods tend to be bland because their premise is based on mass appeal but American cuisine is actually pretty regional and usually anything but bland.

That said, we have absolutely ruined Chinese food in America and we're really working towards doing the same to Mexican food

I married into the deep south where mayo is a requirement in the household ... before, not so much. I developed preferences (blue plate or duke's) and I prefer McCormick's lime flavored mayo for elote which was about the only time I had mayo (as a condiment) before

mn3101 pin 5 will accept direct oscillator input ... think the aquaboy and deluxe version have that chip ... but that's just a possibility, I haven't done the practical work to make that happen

I've always assumed it was a decision not to put an electrolytic in the signal path or source a large value film cap

Oh please ... our current guv ran on bedtime stories to a baby about building the wall ... as you might expect we’re doing poorly against COVID because we wanted those Memorial Day tourist dollars

I saw Hum back when they were a thing ... easily the loudest band I'd seen at the time. still think they're criminally underrated

ideally what we need is only enough people immune that the virus isn't pushed to mutate more rapidly (or more radically) to find new hosts ... in agriculture those anti-vaxxers or just people who do not have access to a vaccine would be considered "refuge" ... the rest of us would get some mileage out of being vaccinated, world keeps on spinning. tbh with the amount of people catching it more than once ever-increasing I'm wondering what an effective vaccine would even look like
