Put my order in too.

Good luck guys.

I'll try not to sneeze on my SMDs!  ;D

They are vias, used to link a trace from one side of the board to the other. Ignore them.

Another cool build.

You're also the subject of a tweet from OSH Park  :)

... and I've just created an infinite loop on the internets  :P

General Questions / Re: Double Flush: Price to build?
August 21, 2013, 08:28:45 AM
For me, about £22 ($35) all in - enclosure, sockets, wire etc. included in price.

The most expensive part was the vactrol, even more expensive than the enclosure.

OSH Park now has project sharing, which I have enabled for this project. You can order your own copies of the PCBs for the project directly from there if you like.

That picture gives me a warm fuzzy feeling of nostalgia ... at least that's what I think it is  ;)

it was on my brothers wall too. Excellent work my friend.

Also in Germany, Musikding:

Their shipping is reasonable for small orders.

They also do the Silonex NSL-32 which is a little cheaper.

General Questions / Re: Wolfshirt - omitting octave up
February 25, 2013, 04:28:56 AM
I did some A/B testing by removing the parts.

Although it sounds very similar without R10, R11, D2 and C6 it doesn't sound exactly the same. That biased diode in D2 adds a certain something to the sound.

Now I'm fiddling with the tone stack. I can see that R17 and C11 give a low pass filter with a corner frequency of 144.8 Hz - but how do I work out what frequency the high pass filter at C10 works at?

Hi guys

Thanks for the interest. I'll order a few more when I next order some prototypes from OSH Park. That means the price for a PCB will be exactly the same as before.

Thanks Brian, I'll give it a go.

General Questions / Wolfshirt - omitting octave up
February 18, 2013, 07:34:22 AM
I want to build a wolfshirt but only the sound without the octave up switch.

What parts can I omit from the PCB?

I'm guessing C4, R8 and D1 can be left off and D2 can be jumpered.

Maybe also omit R10, R11 and merge C5 and C6?

Anyone with a better understanding of what's going on in the circuit care to weigh in?

Thanks

Hey guys, thanks for all the kind words! But...... took it to rehearsal yesterday and no sound at all, bummer! I rocked it before I boxed it, but not afterwards, as I was so content I sat back with a beer  :D
The mistake I made is quite obvious, easily seen from the gutshots, so I'll leave it to your keen eyes to pick up on it. The one who spots it wins a prize... well, not, but I'm still curious if anyone spots it!

Paul

PS: it is so obvious I'm surprised ( and a bit dissapointed...  ;)) that you all missed it!!

Ha ha! My favourite mistake - attaching the board output to ground. Done it many times!
