ah, good call.  i'll try that.  I'm putting neutrik jacks on board for a 125B, but there on 3 sides, I want to get it right the first time.

edit:  well it fits, but Its hard to tell if the jacks in the layout will be in the right place.  I guess if someone has used these jacks before in a 125B they could tell me how far apart they should be spaced?

Brian, or someone in the know, maybe you could tell me.

The enclosure outlines in the shared library I got from circuit workshop, is that the outline of the enclosure walls, or the outline of a board that would definitely fit inside of said enclosure?

Working on some stuff with mounted jacks so I need to get it right.  thanks!

I built a hybrid AC/RC Booster that I got in last years PIF.  its great!  I essentially use the AC booster values, but 2x 914s + 1x BAT41 on one side versus 1x 914 and 2x BAT41s on the other.  It is a really great throaty drive that stacks well with my liquid sunshine.

I'm in the middle of building a FAT Pants, Sparkplug and Kingslayer that I am really excited for.

I took the opportunity to order a whole mess of those black aluminum knobs that c'bread uses at a big discount!

a unity buffer with really bigger pulldown and bias resistors will do the trick.  2M2 or 10M

the chiwahwah and AMT enclosures are custom made for their respective products.  you won't find the enclosure for sale anywhere.

what kind of solder are you using?  I have a weller and had problems with burning through tips when I was trying to use some lead free solder from radioshack.  the higher temperature needed was burrning up the tip.  I switched back to leaded-silver-bearing solder and all is good.

the one with the knob, watch the demo.

if you look at the assembly instructions here, they're basically wiring that switch in parallel with your guitar signal, so my money is that its a small inductance that shifts the resonance frequency of your pickups.  not gimmicky at all, but somewhat impressive for cramming it into a plug.

Open Discussion / Finally, I placed an order
November 02, 2012, 12:44:12 PM
how long since the site went live and I just now placed my first order?  I guess it shows how little time I spend building effects for myself these days.  I ordered a Kingslayer, Sparkplug, & FAT Pants.  The Kingslayer will replace my original Sunking, which I use as an always on master tone & volume.  I found that with the drive on minimum, everything sounds smoother and warmer.  I'm going to put the FAT pants in my Deluxe Memory Boy's effects loop, and the Sparkplug I bought out of curiosity.

Anyway, just thought I would share.

hey jacob,

I've been interested in this for a while, especially the 9 switches thing, but my biggest hestation is the fact that the system can only step through the presets, instead of stepping on one switch of a bank of 4 for example.  I'm looking for the DIY system that can change a bunch of parameters and bypass settings all in one stomp.

I figured out a while ago that this could be done just by adding something like the tech21 midi moose, but I would prefer to use the same switch bank.

If he was to make a 9 switches version where the switches for example, holding down switch 6 programmed everything to preset 6.  I would go for it.

when I had more time, I was really into using ableton for song writing.  lots of sequencing and rearranging of parts, etc.
