The voltage on the input of 7915 regulator is much low. It also seems to fluctuate on the clock signal. I put 24.3V on the power input (it remains stable). After R57 there remains a voltage that fluctuates between -17.58V and -17.84V (with delay knob fully open).
When I turn the delay knob all the way down, -15.13V and -15.35V remain. In short, the voltage after R57 responds to the clock.
When I remove IC9, I am left with a stable voltage of -18.42V to R57. This one is stable.
However, this voltage is still too low if I may believe the manual. This indicates that the voltage on the input of the 7915 must be -25.57V.
So, what's wrong here. Does anyone have an idea?

General Questions / Enclosure for Total Recall
November 17, 2021, 03:41:38 AM
I'm working on my Total Recall project. And now I run into the problem that the input jack gets stuck against LM7906. This is of course not the intention.
I can filing the holes for the jacks up a bit, so that I can slide the jacks up a bit. Or I have to extend the LM7906 with wires and move it to another position. Or eventually get a different housing. But it would be nice if it fits in here. I have a BB casing. Are there others who have had this problem?

General Questions / Voodoo Lab/DMC GCX audio switcher
February 05, 2021, 01:52:26 AM
Maybe silly question, but does anyone own a Voodoo Lab/DMC, GCX audio switcher?
I am working on a DIY Looper/switcher where I want to use the concept of the Looper/analog part from the original, and the digital control is DIY.
The only thing I am not clear yet, is the component data of the capacitor and resistor that is used as an RC network on the coil.
So if anyone has this switcher and has the ability to unscrew the cover, would you be so kind as to take a close-up picture of it? So that I can clearly read the resistor values and capacitor value. And if it is also possible, also photo of the transistor, then I get it right.

Anyone have more technical information about the Boss CE-2W? I am very curious about the mods on the standard CE-2.
So does anyone have a schematic or gutshots of this pedal?
Or maybe someone has this pedal and can take gutshots of the PCB? I am very curious about this.

Build Reports / Small Clone and Small Stone builds
October 28, 2020, 12:54:16 PM
This project has been at a standstill for a long time, but this week I have just finished.
These are the Small Clone and the Small Stone. Built in the past with Tonepad PCBs. Now redrawn with all components on the PCB. This means no more loose wires are soldered. With the exception of the 9V power supply. This comes through a connector on the PCB.
Both PCBs fit exactly in a type B housing. Without a 9V battery, but I don't use it anyway.
The Small Clone works properly.
The Small Stone has a few issues. However, at a high Rate I hear an LFO tap. I was able to reduce this by placing a 1uf capacitor over input 2 and 3 of ic5.
In addition, there is an audible volume difference when I switch the color switch.
Which is strange when you consider that this should only affect the feedback loop. This changes the phaser operation, you should get a more extreme phasing sound.
This also happens, but with some sort of volume drop.
Do more people have problems / experience with this?

General Questions / MIDI question
December 13, 2019, 01:43:20 PM
I am completely new to the MIDI protocol, but I want to use it to switch my amplifiers and pedals. My pedals are then placed in a 19" rack and I only have my MIDI controller on the floor.
Now I have a Kitty Hawk foot controller, a Nobels ms-8 MIDI replay switcher and a DIY midi switcher from JimKim. But what strikes me now is that the program numbers do not match the number on my foot controller. For example, if I press switch 5, it will neatly read "05" on my foot controller. But on my receiver it indicates program "06". I have the idea that my foot controller counts from 0-127 (actually only from 0-99 since I only have 2 digits), because I can also set program "00". But my receivers count from 1-128. Can this just be true? And can this be changed?? My autistic brain would like to see 2 identical numbers: :)
