The Latest addition to the family!!!

Lovetone Wobulator. Another special thanks to LaceSensor (Ian) for his assistance with this one. Used TL072s for the dual op amps and TL084 for the quad. Also used authentic OEP1200 transformers for the Outputs and Phase inverters.

Self-etched PCB and Carling DPDTs for the stomps. Had them sitting around and this was the perfect opportunity to use them!  8)

Decided to go with 30K/20M LDRs instead of the 20K/2M that are called for. Not really much of a difference when you figure in the parallel resistance but, these sound very deep and lush with all of the settings. Still need to test this out in stereo (on tonight's agenda) but the Mono is probably the BEST trem and vibe effect I have ever used! Why Lovetone stopped making effects is beyond me. THEY ARE ALL BRILLIANT!!

Just have the Ring Stinger and Cheese/Source to complete now! Still working on the pseudo build docs. If I see a lot of interest, I will put out what I have now. Otherwise, I will just release it all at once when I am complete.

More to come (just waiting on the Post Office!)

Looks real nice. Great job.
Can't wait to see the build doc, I'd definitely build this

LaceSensor

whats the depth like?

VERY wide range on the Depth. Goes from subtle bumping to THUMP!

The Rate pots are surprisingly incremented too! Usually it is pretty bunched up at certain spots on the rotation but this one is pretty even.

Wish I had a better quality amp to try the stereo mode other then my little Ruby build  :-\

Check your PMs  ;)

LaceSensor

makes me wonder if there are other inconsistencies with AlanP's Tremopanation then
With the builds I made of that PCB, the depth only seems to start around 12pm on the dials to really give any "movement" to the trem
Id be tempted to make a "full size" one so if you do concatenate your files into a build doc I would give it a whirl, and try a few LED/LDRs in this to see if anything makes a difference to the tremopanation

Shame we dont live nearby id love to do a side-by-side

I will plug in again this evening and post up some results on this. I will try to get specific on the Depth controls in my build.

I also used water clear Green LEDS (I think the Tremopanation build uses diffused)

More later!  ;)

OK. Just got done playing with the new toy!

I find that there is subtle Trem when the Depth is full CCW. There is a linear increase in Depth as I roll through 9 o'clock. It is a subtle increase but definitely an increase. It is more pronounced as I roll through 12 o'clock and up to full CW.

I would say that if you are hearing NO increase until you hit 12 o'clock then there is an issue. Or if there is no LFO at all at full CCW then there is an issue. I DEFINITELY get subtle Trem at full CCW.

LaceSensor

sounds kinda like what I get the sound just isnt the same as the real one.
im gonna try some water clear green LEDs...

Thanks for testing

Are you saying that yours sounds just like mine -OR- you are not getting anything until 12 o'clock/No LFO until 12 o'clock?

sorry to be clear, the tremopanation do have a very mild modulation at zero depth, and it does subltly increase til 12 oclock where you get more of a trem happening. they just dont sound as deep or as good or simply as nice as the real pedal. its probably the LEDs/LDR

Govmnt_Lacky

Got it!

This Trem is definitely one of the "deeper" trems that I have played. When the Depth is maxed... it definitely THUMPS!!  8)

Greg, very impressive indeed! I'd be interested in the schem you used to update the Tremopanation (I was working off MarkusW's schematic, which I don't know the veracity of.)

Dual Trem with square LFO one side, triangle the other in stereo is a thing if heavenly magnitude.... So yeah!
