I just found this guy recently and wow, blew my mind. Always love to see people take electric guitar where it hasn't been before. Interestingly, the guy also happens to be a lefty

If my photos are missing again... they're hosted by photobucket... and as of 06/2017 being held hostage... to be continued?

Been working from home and going through some random playlists on youtube and the like, does anyone know what guitar/pickups/effects are giving the chords their sound 0.40-0.50?!

My friend loves this band, a little to classic rockish for me but they are definitely fun live.

Today's sound track:  One of my favorite live records ever.

Apparently 'Thelma' spent time making pedals at Earthquaker Devices.

To me more garage then classic rock which is a good thing.

The shutdown has caused musicians to find some creative outlets.  If you're into Progressive House EDM at all (I was a dj for 7 years through college), John Digweed has been playing sets from his house every Saturday starting at 4pm Central Standard Time (which would be nighttime in the UK).  Last week's set over 4 hours long.  Right now I'm in the middle of the 3rd hour for this week.  I know EDM isn't everything's thing, but if you want to hear a legend of a DJ (Digweed has been around since the early 90s) with impeccable track selection, check him out.

I'm still going back through EDM sets I listened to maybe 15 years ago.  This one, from 2004, is a scorcher.

James Zabelia was one of the early users of Pioneer CDJs (CD players that act like turntables), encorperating real time looping and remixing into his sets.  Essential Mix is a VERY old radio program from the UK (it started in 1993) where a DJ (or DJs) play a 2 hour set.  For those who aren't EDM folks, try tuning in to one.  You may be surprised that EDM doesn't all sound like dubstep ;).

Re-organized my albums and rediscovered all favourites.

Two favourite Talking Heads, '77 still sounds as fresh and quirky as it did when released, Speaking in Tongues, a great expanded band with the great Bernie Worrell heaping on the spice and colour.

Welp, COVID-19 just killed one of the artists I grew up listening to most. John Prine was probably my mom's favorite artist (along with Steve Goodman) so his albums were always on rotation.

And he died tonight.

So, yeah, listening to some of his stuff.

Really, really good, and it feels like a continuation of Alice in Chains, just different, in the same way that AC/DC was different when they went from Bon Scott to Brian Johnson.

Found these guys just the other day on youtube. Turns out they're not far from where I went to college. The single 'Red Star pt. 2' really grabbed me, but I was very impressed with the entire record. If you're into spacey stoner rock this is definitely a band worth checking out.

Digging through albums, getting lots of memory joggers via Instagram.

Just learned that with Postimage hosting - Hotlinks downscaled to 1280px on the free account, that explains everything... so long postimage.

On a side note, i see my old photobucket images on various forums restored to their original form, is that universal for photobucket now?

edit. Let's try imgur...

Much better!
