Does get a wee bit annoying when you're buying an oddball value that you've only ever seen in one project, where you need 1 and have 199 collecting dust on a shelf for the next 8 years.
On that note, if anyone is building an L5, and needs a 1/2W 2k7 resistor, I have 199 to spare ::).  Funny thing is, I ordered from Mouser versus Tayda because I wanted the part by last Friday.....starting build tonight (this Friday).

I don't understand. I see more than ten different 2,7k resistors with 0,5W or 0,6W available in singles.

If it really was Mouser's intention to get rid of single part sales, I think they would start with 0201 SMD parts...

(other than Tayda) Anybody landed on any candidates for a new "standard" that covers a nice range of values and wattage ratings and allows quantities less than 100 for a decent price?

My last Mouser order I was able to buy Xicon resistors in a lower quantity (20).  Might have been a glitch or they might have changed the policy again.

Maybe Arrow has something?  They'd wrap each resistor individually in two layers of antistatic packaging, of course, which would be somewhat inconvenient.   :P

You can get Newark's house brand (Multicomp Pro) for pretty cheap with no minimum order quantity. I'd say it's on par with Xicon.

Wow those are great prices but the shipping is a flat $10 and $150 to hit the free mark. I wish Mouser would do a house brand for cheap like that.

I usually get the $3.50 economy shipping from Mouser which is hard to beat.

Ive been looking at the Yageo but the prices seem to be all over thplace depending on the value.

I used to like the Yageo MF0204 resistors but I can't seem to get them anymore.  They were .4W but 1/8W sized.  Anyone else have a favorite 1/8w size resistor?

Mouser shows a New @ Mouser sticker for them, only have 28 values in stock but if their showing 'new' will the number of values be expanding shortly?

Be aware prices are $cdn.
