Does get a wee bit annoying when you're buying an oddball value that you've only ever seen in one project, where you need 1 and have 199 collecting dust on a shelf for the next 8 years.
(other than Tayda) Anybody landed on any candidates for a new "standard" that covers a nice range of values and wattage ratings and allows quantities less than 100 for a decent price?
You can get Newark's house brand (Multicomp Pro) for pretty cheap with no minimum order quantity. I'd say it's on par with Xicon. Here's a link: https://www.newark.com/w/c/passive-components/resistors-fixed-value/through-hole-resistors?brand=multicomp-pro&resistance=1kohm&power-rating=250mw&resistance-tolerance=posneg-1pc

I used to like the Yageo MF0204 resistors but I can't seem to get them anymore. They were .4W but 1/8W sized. Anyone else have a favorite 1/8w size resistor?
