Oh man, I am sorry, you are right.  I always get those mixed up in my head.  I will try to be more careful with that.  I will edit that out of the Subject on my messages

That would be great.  I can PM you my email address if you like.

By the way, in defense of Grind Customs, on their site, they do have extensive documentation, and, though it isn't made obvious, I found some instructions for identifying the "pin" or contact on a pot as far as how he applies the identification anyway which is probably based on some agreed on standard.

I like the boards, but his documentation is minimalist for sure.

Ok, thanks.  I was thinking I would have to go with a 1590bb in "portrait" configuration.   I notice you did the pots off-board, but I can fit 9mm alpha pots right on the board.  I wonder if the pot rotation would be the correct orientation if I board mounted the pots....  Clean looking build by the way.

I have a G-02 and a SWAH board and noticed they do not fit in a 1590b....so, Are there any of you out there that have boxed one of these up?  I am just looking for ideas for the best way to box these up.  Pictures would be great.  THanks

Congratulations!  I am going for 35 this year (not women, marital years) with the same woman.  There have been hard times and good times, but I am glad I still have the same women.  When possible, it also is a great example to your kids too.  It is my parents dedication to each other that helped me want to get through some pretty rough times.  They just celebrated 60 years together.  Hang in there man, it gets better as you go!

Excellent!  Thanks for your help.

I think that would be uncomfortable in any band of any genre really.  Oh an added detail...she was/is my sister-in-law....loved the family dynamics on that one!

Sorry guys, but a search on this subject didn't yield good results.  I am building the pre-2015 HoneyDripper with the big 3p4t rotary switch.  Is the "Alpha SR2612F-0304-18R0B-D8-N" switch at Tayda a good match for that build?  The build docs didn't give a part number and the old link in the docs is broken, so, if you can, please let me know.  If not, please let me know the correct part number and some possible places to buy it from.  Thanks!

I got one for you.  Was in a Christian band and I was the defacto "chaplin" and the person that was "managing the band" got into a huge and blatant affair that she almost advertised.  So instead of "kicking" her out, we all voted to just shut the band down.  Then she climbs all over me, and her husband too, that I wasn't being Christian and all that crap, when I could have just as easily got a vote to kick her out, which is more embarrassing in my book.  I and the rest of the band were real uncomfortable seeing her up there singing about Jesus, knowing she was screwing around on her husband, who knew she was, and her 5 poor kids knew it too.

Wow, the diystompboxes thread does get a little nasty!   Anyway, I do appreciate your feedback.  There is one neat thing about that diystompboxes thread when you wire a little 9mm pot off board, and that was how one guy cuts a piece of vero board and solders the pot to that and then attaches the wires to the vero board.  Would make it much  better to solder to.  Thanks all!

Thank you for your thoughts.  I was also wondering if there was any opinion using the 9mm off-board as opposed to the 16mm.  Of course the 9mm clip into the PCBs so nice, but could be used, I suppose, directly on the enclosure/chassis.

Thanks,

If there has already been a discussion like this, let me know, I couldn't find one.

I am wondering if anybody has found any real quality difference between the alpha 16mm and the alpha 9mm pots?  Why would I use one over the other (besides the 9mm can be crammed onto a PCB easier/closer/etc).  I am talking mostly about quality and long term use.  Any thoughts on this?  I have used both and they both seem to be fine, but have used 16mm a lot longer than the 9mm pots.  Thanks!
